Dead Island
Thursday, February 17th, 2011 by PriceThe trailer for Dead Island just premiered, and all I can say is “wow”. It’s quite disturbing, even if you live and breath zombies.
There’s a great writeup at Destuctoid as well.

Interesting read from gogaminggiant.

Almost to 10!
There are 11 players on a football team. The most amazing football video game of all time was Mutant League Football, featured on the Sega Genesis. Probably the greatest sports video game ever except for Bill Laimbeer’s Combat Basketball.
Bombs went off, players were killed/mutilated, all in the name of sports! Whether you loved the Psycho Slashers, the Misfit Demons, or the Deathskin Razors, you loved this game.
32 days until Halloween. 32 for 32-bit video game systems, which included the classic Sega Saturn console. Poor Sega never got over the Genesis hump, but the Saturn still featured some good games, including the horrorific port of the class arcade zombie/monster shooter House of the Dead.
So I can’t seem to post anything lately except references to Metalocalypse, but here’s one that is DEFINITELY worth mentioning. As you are probably aware, it will soon be revealed at the San Diego Comic Con that there will be a video game based on Metalocalypse’s Dethklok. JOY!
The aptly titled “Dethgame” will be a downloadable game for the XBOX360 and PS3. It will naturally feature Dethklok music in the background.
Everyone knows how much Ghost ‘n Goblins was a hope-raping despair fest, but when I was a kid of limited resources in Charlotte, NC, playing through the first 3 levels (because come on, no one got further than that) was as close as I could get to cohorting with Satan. Needless to say I played it all the time.
Here are two videos unrelated to anything other than my lack of recent posts (Summer is awful) showing a complete playthrough of the second time you had to beat it, after finding out the first “room” was an “illusion.”
GO AHEAD DAUNTLESSLY! MAKE RAPID PROGRESS!

But I’ll probably just follow the advice given on Technabob and eBay one myself. Although the gift package does look pretty cool.
And I am excited. If you recall, my little brother got me the game for my birthday. I pick it up today. Time to kill some zombies. Or eat some humans. I am not sure.
