A Blog Dedicated to Madballs?

madballs

You don’t say! Remember these shits? Because I certainly do.

I found out today that a man named Mike is obsessed with these things, and has a ridiculously awesome collection of them and writing to match.

Hop over to blarghhhspot and read up on Madballs. The blog isn’t updated but a few times a month, which is perfect because there’s a lot of material to digest on there.

For reference, I-Mockery had a great post a while back on the resurgence of Madballs.

And if you’re feeling the itch to spend some money, you can buy a bunch of ‘em here.

Mr. Potato Head Halloween Edition: Trick or Tater

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008 by Price

I could not resist myself. I personally was not a big fan of the Star Wars or any other special edition Mr. Potato Head. Frankly, I never cared for Mr. or Mrs. Potato Heads that much since I never had one as a child. For some reason I always equated ownership of a Mr. Potato Head with prestige and power. But I digress.

As I usually do in Wal Mart, I buy anything and everything that I know I probably wouldn’t get a chance to buy when back in the city. Considering it is Halloween season, I fell easily for this thing.

Zombie Lego toy (sorry, you can’t buy ‘em)

Here at the Devil’s Demons, Vincent and I absolutely love toys. Get used to toy-related posts. If there’s one thing we will not outgrow, it is spending money on useless items that look really good on our desks but won’t assist in any other area.

This is outdated, but I just could not resist posting this.  DYZPlastic, a division of Brooklyn artist Andrew Bell’s Dead Zebra, Inc created this toy a little over a year ago.

If you think that’s cool, then you can actually buy one of Andrew’s pieces from Creatures in my Head.  And if you’re in NYC tonight (Thursday October 16th) you can head to Kid Robot NYC between 6 and 8 pm to pick up his latest toy Kidreaper and get it autographed:

Pretty killer. It glows in the dark for fuck’s sake. Other buy some other evil shit.

Dethklok action figures!

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 by Price

Vincent and I absolutely love Adult Swim’s black metal inspired cartoon, Metalocalypse. So much in fact that I am sure at some point we will produce a booze-induced diatribe on why it is the greatest cartoon ever created. That shit rules. However, for now we focus on Toys.

Over on the Deciblog, there is a post about a line of Dethklok toys that has been produced by NJ toy company Shocker Toys. I think this is a swell idea. Apparently they also have a line of GWAR toys available, which is nifty considering I will be seeing GWAR play tonight at Irving Plaza in NYC.

Buy your Dethklok and GWAR toys here.

Vicious Intent Book Signing and Rock Poster Art Show

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008 by Price

This looks/sounds like a good time.  I won’t be able to make it, but if I was in town I would most definitely be here.  Sponsored by Royal Flush magazine, a very cool alternative music/culture zine which attempts to bring the worlds of rock and roll and comic books together, this should be a good time with lots of interesting people.  Network by god!

The show is being held at Toy Tokyo‘s Showroom Gallery, on 7th St and 2nd Ave in the East Village, one of the Devil’s Demons’ favorite toy stores.  So go see some rock posters, buy some toys, and live a little.
