FEAR NET talks with Ti West About The Innkeepers

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011 by Vincent

I love Ti West. I honestly think he’s the only horror director around today doing unique work, and he seems to know it because he continues to work very hard at it. His last film, House of the Devil, was brilliant. His new film, The Innkeepers, is set for release “in 2011,” and he recently caught up with FEAR NET at SXSW to discuss the location, filming, and the newly released poster for The Innkeepers. Read up here.

Film Five Most

Massive Doucheface and all around cool guy/shit director/formerly decent director Eli Roth has revealed his top 5 horror movies. No surprises here: They’re all ironic and/or terrible (Creepshow being the geniune exception).

We need more Ti West (a lot more), and less of this guy.

Good read here. Talks a lot about The House of the Devil and how he tries to engage his audience with his films.

I’m sad that Cabin Fever 2 never got the proper treatment. Not fair.

Interview with Ti West

Over at BrutalAsHell (great site name), there’s an interview with Ti West, director of The House of the Devil. Price and I saw one of Ti’s movies a few years ago, 2007′s Trigger Man, and it was fucking fantastic.  After the recent decline in the quality of Eli Roth’s work (and his synchronized increase in douching), it’s nice to see there’s one promising young horror director out there.
