14, for October 14th, on which date the singer/actor Usher was born, who was part of the cast for the 1998 horror/sci-fi film The Faculty.

I hadn’t honestly thought about this movie for years (most likely for good reason). It came out during the dark ages of teenie horror, when movie theaters gave up putting effort into films for a while to bank on DVD rentals and Wal Mart DVD purchases. This era of films seriously takes up at least a full rack in the KMart DVD section. You know, the crap like this, The House on Haunted Hill, and the Haunting.
What’s disturbing is that the Faculty had an all-star cast consisting of Elijah Wood, Josh Hartnett, Selma Hayek and others. I mean, this rarely translates to a good movie, but still. How do people get sucked into this crap?
This movie also featured one of the worst soundtracks of all-time, featuring the likes of the Offspring, Stabbing Westward, and our favorite church band Creed.
This just goes to show you. Being a horror fan isn’t easy.
