60 Days Until Halloween

60

This is good. We’re now officially two months away, as today is the first day of September, and we just have to get through this and next month and then all is right with the world.

60. For the movie Gone in 60 Seconds (I’m not telling you whether I liked this one or not), which features actor Timothy Olyphant. Who was in one of my favorite movies of last year, the remake of the George Romero flick The Crazies.

What’s funny about the crazies is that I wrote a quick blurb about it back in April of 2009. Vincent also wrote a quick blurb in January, yet apparently it was the first time he had heard of the movie, which greatly offends me, since this means he obviously doesn’t read my blog posts.

Vincent, if you’re reading this, I’m watching you …

The Crazies Looks Crazy

I’d not even heard of The Crazies until about 10 minutes ago but I’m already sold. I suppose the bad guys are basically “zombies,” but the story presents a fresh take on the brainless masses trope. This looks promising. Check it out.

Crazy for The Crazies

I’m pretty stoked about this movie. It’s a combination of things. I just get excited for anything that George Romero attaches his name to. Whether it be vampires, zombies, or disease, I also find it interesting how apocalyptic environmental/biological catastrophe movies can be either pretty good (Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days Later) and just god awful (28 Weeks Later).

The term remake always scares me, but I try to go into the new version with a clean slate in mind.

I also just really dig Timothy Olyphant. Man love?
