This is truly sad. Nergal, the frontman for one of our favorite bands Behemoth, has been diagnosed with Leukemia (Behemoth had already canceled an upcoming tour because of this).
Apparently he’s already past the point of chemotherapy being an option, so it’s only bone marrow transplants at this point. Keep him in your thoughts.

I am very excited about this. Almost 3 years in the making, the live RoadRunner United concert will be released as a DVD. I went to this show in December of 2005 at the Nokia Times Square Theater here in NYC, and it was totally killer. Being able to see so many of your idols from one’s early days of metal fandom was extremely awesome and almost brought a tear to my eye.
If you didn’t make it, then you must get this DVD. The combinations of various metal gods on stage together were so intriguing and unique, you will quickly realize that you are witnessing something truly special.
The show kicked ass, but I have to admit the highlight of my night was watching Glen Benton troll his way out of the venue, and pester a few fans for a bite of their sidewalk pretzel. No joke. Verbatim, he said “GIMME SOME OF THAT PRETZEL.” It was unbelievable.
If you don’t like Mastodon, well we’re very disappointed in you, but we won’t ask you to leave this site immediately. But again, we’re disappointed. Go listen to them and like them. Everyone still here? Good. Anyways, this piece of magic was stolen from one of the best music websites around, metalsucks. It’s fantastic, and it’s about Mastodon, so it’s Mastadontastic. YOU LOVE IT.
