Christopher Lee Doing A Charemagne-Themed Heavy Metal Album

Yep.  Christopher Lee, one of the greatest (or at least most prolific) horror actors of all time is doing a heavy metal concept album.  I say “heavy metal” in the loosest sense of the word, because I wouldn’t play this shit anywhere near a respectable metal jukebox lest it become infected. But sure, why not?

It can’t possibly be any dumber than the massive shit Dee Snyder tossed out (and I say that with the utmost respect for Twisted Sister) when he made this Van Helsing-themed concept album

Interesting note – The myspace page for Lee’s project has this dubious tidbit of information

“Sir Christopher is the highest grossing actor of all time”

I’m going to do some fact checking on that nonsense.

42 Days Until Halloween

42, for 42nd Street in NYC, home to BB King’s Blues Club, which just so happens to host more metal shows than any other NYC venue.

I still have no clue why this is (maybe due to the fact that the sound and lighting system is pretty high tech, and most metal bands are geeks about that shit anyways), but am fine with it. Nowhere else can you catch brunch, a Beatles cover band, and Immortal.

I have seen Immortal, Obituary, the Haunted, and Testament here. Maybe a few others that I can’t remember. It’s always a good time.

Vincent and I will be making our way to BB King’s to see Samael on October 18th. This is quite exciting.
