Somehow we messed up and got off by a day. Today is really “10 Days Until Halloween”. But whatever. Before that …

11. For Finger 11. A fucking horrifying band.

12. For the 12 days of Christmas. Which couldn’t be further from Halloween (minus the gift receiving, if you will).

I’m not the only one who is annoyed by an official 12 Days of Halloween, which is why this post at Hollywood.com made me smile (frown). Their own countdown.

13 days until Halloween. This is my favorite countdown post to ever do, because I am a lazy asshole and this one is super easy.

13 for paraskevidekatriaphobia, an unnatural fear of Friday the 13th (the day, not the movie).

Apparently there’s no science behind it, and it’s just simply bad luck.

I’ve never had anything bad happen to me on these days. Have you?

14. For Culture Brat’s Top 14 Vampire movies. Which is an interesting list, although one I don’t agree with whatsoever (other than the inclusion of Lost Boys, Fright Night, and Salem’s Lot).

Maybe it’s because I’m a child of the early 80′s that this list doesn’t necessarily jive with me. I also just think there are much better “Vampire” movies than Buffy or Blade, two I really wouldn’t count along with the others.

15. Which is apparently the legal age of consent in Sweden. Sweden has a lot of awesome bands. One of my favorite (relating to Halloween of course) is The Haunted.

16. The square root of 16 is 4. Trucks have 4 wheels. The most badass truck ever is Gravedigger.

17. Which is that age in the US when people can start watching R-Rated movies. Which basically means any good horror movie. I rejoiced turning 17 for this reason.

18. As in, “I’m 18″. As in the song that’s featured on the soundtrack for the shitty ass “horror” movie The Faculty.

You may recall, that the version in the Faculty was performed by one of our FAVORITE artistes, Creed. You may or may not know that it was originally an Alice Cooper song, before Creed butchered the shit out of it.

19. For the short horror movie “Number 19“. I am trying to dig up more information on it, but it’s pretty difficult. Apparently it won some awards in film festivals back when.

20. 20 years ago, in 1990, Danzig released Danzig II: Lucifuge.

We really love Danzig here. Sure, his music is great, but probably more great is how much of a jackass he is, and how awkward every interview ever conducted with him has ever been.

He’s also produced some great moments in film and song. There’s this great video someone made of Danzig’s shopping list.
