I don’t know about you, but I am so thankful that the holiday season is over. While some of my posts make you think otherwise, the only real reasons I love Christmas and such so much are:

• Time off of work
• An excuse to go on  a 2 week bender
• Free shit because people think I’m awesome

All great things, but they really have nothing to do with the spirit of Christmas. They just boil down to pure raw human needs and wants.

Regardless, Christmas really gets in the way of things being truly evil. I watch horror movies at Christmas time sure, but it never has the same feel. Everyone laughs afterwards. Or has a nice cup of hot tea while watching. Or cuddles up with blankets together to enjoy the “fright”. Not at all pure evil.

While we wait for Halloween to come around once more, I stand here today proud that Christmas is out of my mind, and I can now focus on being more selfish and self-serving, and leave the joy and need to help and love others in the past. Welcome to 2010.
