It’s getting to be about that time…  Fall, Autumn, the best time of the year!  Thank God because this summer has been a steaming hot mess of shit in NY.  The kind folks at io9 have a great list of the the sci-fi/horror releases coming out this Fall, and I must say things look promising.  I’m even excited about the American remake of Let the Right One In after seeing the excellent trailer.  In case you’re too lazy to click the link, here’s the shortlist (I’ve omitted the ones I consider irrelevant):

The Last Exorcism (August 27)

Resident Evil: Afterlife (September 10)

Never Let Me Go (Sept. 15)

Devil (September 17)

Let Me In (October 1)

Paranormal Activity 2 (Oct. 22)

The big Halloween trifecta of crap [Saw 3-D, The Howling: Reborn, My Soul To Take] (October 29)

Monsters (October 29)

Skyline (November 12)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 (November 19)

Red Dawn (November 24)

Tempest (December 10)

Tron Legacy (December 17)

Gulliver’s Travels (December 22)

If I even make it to half of these I’ll be very impressed with myself.

Jumping The Gun on Halloween: Samhain’s Initium

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 by Vincent

There are lots of albums that signify “jumping the gun” on Halloween to me. Most are black metal albums I listened to in college or goth metal albums I listened to in high school, but some are plain embarrassing and I have no excuse.  To show you that I really am getting ready for Autumn 2 days into September, here is a sampling of my recent (the last two days) “Fall has just begun” playlist:

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" was me jumping the gun on Christmas.

Awful, I know.  And they would all hate each other.  Paul Banks would literally kill himself if trapped in a room with Dani Filth.

But I’ve also been playing the hell out of Initium!
