Oh it’s getting good now.  29, for the 1929 Disney animated short, Hell’s Bells (AMIRITE?). A great little black and white piece focusing on our favorite place of all time.

It was released on October 30th, as well! (Though IMDB disagrees)

Truly, it’s 2nd only to the glory that is Night on Bald Mountain.

God I love this season.

Walt Disney and Guillermo del Toro (responsible for Pan’s Labrynth, Hellboy) will be teaming up to form a new production company called Disney Double Dare You, which will be tasked with producing spooky animated feature films. Yeah! Sounds extremely promising. If there’s something we can all benefit from, it’s the money and power of a studio like Disney and the creativity of del Toro.

The first project will be entitled “Trollhunters”, which is an original story created by del Toro himself.

This quote from Guillermo sums up the vision for the effort:

“As a director, I love to take audiences into fantastic new worlds and provide them with some anxious moments in the process,” del Toro said. “It is part of the Disney canon to create thrilling, unforgettable moments and villains in all their classic films.”
