Where Price Laments the Loss of Halloween

crybaby

Well, just as I couldn’t handle the excitement leading up to the Halloween season, I’m barely able to handle the grave loss of the same season.

It never fails, that it takes us a few weeks to recover from Halloween to find the motivation to even post cross-links on the site. Much less try to write anything original or inspired.

This year, I am grateful that it only took me a week to get back around to posting. It seems that the weather has helped. The transition from decent NYC weather to dark/depressing/frigid was pretty sudden and instantaneous, and that makes me realize that as the days get darker, so does the mood. So I have no reason to be sad.

One great thing about the cold season is that my horror movie watching/comic book reading goes up exponentially, so hopefully I’ll have a lot more motivation to review such things. Sitting by a fireplace, drinking alcoholic cider.

Post-Halloween Depression

depression

Great short post on post Halloween depression. This particular bit sticks with me:

As I pack away my webs, skeletons and body parts the depression sets in but it is tempered by the rich stories that will be with me forever.

Also found an interesting post from 2004. These people seem to have some ways to deal with it.

Yeah, we are struggling too.

Halloween = Pain

Hey peoples. So there was a lot of stuff going on over Halloween, mainly involving us partying our faces off to a new degree of evilness, and we’re in pretty rough shape. Give us a few days to recover and as long as we don’t killourselves due to the depression onsetting from no more Halloween, then we’ll get back in the posting groove very shortly.
