Sometimes, gems are hidden to be uncovered at a later date. That’s what I’ll chalk Warlash up to.
With the first issue released in August of 2008, Warlash: Dark Noir (the brainchild of writer/artist Frank Forte and an Asylum Press publication) was an eclectic mix of various stories that take place in slightly different settings, all featuring a vigilante-ish character by the name of Warlash. I read all 3 issues of the series, where some of the tales continued, and other one-offs sprung up. All unique and interesting in their own regard, they shared several similarities:

We love After Dark. I’ve also been seriously stoked about their Originals project, their latest foray into the horror movie “festival” concept.
They’ve recently released the first still (seen above) from their latest film, Husk, and I eagerly await its release. I’ll prime myself by watching some old films to die for this week.
I stumbled upon Jesus Hates Zombies while searching for “zombies” in the Android Marketplace. You can download the first two issues for free, with the rest costing only a paltry $0.99. Easy win.
I appreciate an insightful title. Jesus Hates Zombies is about Jesus being sent back to Earth to, you guessed it, stop a zombie apocalypse by killing all the zombies. Written by Stephen Lindsay, it’s pretty hilarious, is broken into several short stories so it’s perfect for reading on the go, and is worth picking up. Download now!

So I have to admit, all the hype is absolutely worth it. The Walking Dead is the shit, and is the greatest show on television at the moment. There, I said it.
