37 is for the band Ragnarok, who I don’t even like, but holy shit this is the most amazing compilation of Norwegian metal bands EVER. The list is incredible, profiling the top 100 Norwegian black metal bands of all time. My day is now ruined.
Well, I know why, because in general, it kinda sucks, and I hate driving, and you have to drive everywhere, but the weather is pretty damn good.
Anyways, this weekend, if you happen to be in LA, check out the Boobs and Blood Festival. (warning: VERY NSFW). It’s a festival about all things horror that involve boobs, apparently.
Someone please go and report back. This has to be hilariously funny. More funny will be the sad souls who show up trying to get laid. But whatever.
38. 3 times 8 is 24. The album Master of Puppets is 24 years old. And I now feel VERY old myself.
39. 39 years ago, Corey Feldman was born. Star of Lost Boys, a movie my parents made me stay in the other room for when growing up. No wonder I ended up liking it so much.
So dreamy.
40. 40 for delicious malt liquor and the celebration of all things horror-hood related that is Tales From The Hood.

I remember one Halloween when I was little and my mom came home with this movie (no idea). I watched it was pretty shocked even at the young age of whatever at just how bad it was. It failed to be funny and it failed to be scary. Basically all it was was uncomfortable and awkward. This picture sums up my emotions upon seeing it:

I’m sure there are more puddles of goo on Canal street than in any other stretch in America, but this goo is special Halloween-themed Ghostbusters goo. Coming home from a brutal day of work last night I spotted this impressive pile of black filth at the Canal Street downtown 1 station. I nudged it with my foot and within 20 minutes was filled with a hateful rage. I assume the two are related.
41. 4 minus 1 is 3. Necroticism – Descanting the Insalubrious is the 3rd album released by grindcore all stars and champions of evil metal Carcass.
The album features my favorite song of theirs, Corporeal Jigsaw Quandary. Enjoy:
42. For 42nd street in New York City. On which BB King’s Blue’s Club resides. In pretty much the most touristy part of the city. Which for some reason, is the most metal club in NYC.
I’ve seen some amazing metal at BB King’s. Meshuggah, the Haunted, Testament, Moonspell, and Obituary, all at BB King’s. Most importantly, Vincent and I saw Immortal there, which was probably one of the 10 most best days of our lives. We own the greatest t-shirt ever because of this show:
If anyone knows how or why BB King’s started hosting metal shows, please tell me. It really makes no sense. BB King, as awesome as he is, and even though I acknowledge that blues is the foundation for heavy rock and metal, it still doesn’t make sense. Especially in the Times Square area of NYC.
