Ghoultown. Makes me laugh.

It’s Official: You can now buy Zombie Beef Jerky

zombie-jerky

Well, my life is now complete. I have my favorite food stuff combined with one of my favorite monsters. I pretty much will never need to leave the house again, now that Zombie Jerky is going to be a real thing.

From the makers of the Blood energy drink (apparently a True Blood-ish concoction) comes Zombie Jerky, a green-tinted beef jerky.

My gut reaction is that this will be gross, but I have faith in my ability to stomach this. We’ll see once it’s released, as I’ll be the first one (at least on my block) to get it.

Mayhem Festival meets Revolver meets 1/2 douchebag

There was once upon a time when I would’ve given everything my 15 or 16 year-old self had for the chance to shake hands with Jonathon Davis. Those times are LONG gone (as is my tolerance for their “music” or whatever it is they’ve released in the past few years). However, this hasn’t stopped Vincent and I from buying tickets to our second straight annual Rockstar Mayhem Festival.

I think the overall lineup is not that bad. Lamb of God is one of our favorite bands, 3 Inches of Blood does some nice epic metal, and Norma Jean/Chimaira always put on good live shows.

There will be some bullshit there. I just don’t trust In This Moment. More importantly, I don’t trust any bassist who plays like this.

I also don’t like Five Finger Death Punch, mainly because their singer looks too much like Fred Durst mixed with Shifty Shellshock.

Regardless, there are some commemorative covers of Revolver magazine for this festival. It’s the kind of metal/horror crossover thing that should ideally make us jump for joy, and it probably will once we’re liquored up and buying shitty merch, but I’m just not there yet.

The show is a week from Friday. Stay tuned.

Largest selection of Halloween Costumes

So it’s not time to start our official countdown yet. However, I got really excited when I learned that it’s only 111 days until halloween!

I found a bunch of Halloween countdown widgets to put on your website if you wanted to:

Uncle Sam Wants You Dead

Friday, July 2nd, 2010 by Price

In honor of Independence Day (the holiday, not the shitty movie), I’ll try and post a couple of red white and blue things over the next few days.

I’ll start with a quick trip down memory lane, with the movie Uncle Sam.

Remember this steaming pile?

When I worked at a now defunct media store called On Cue back in high school, I made lots of impulse purchases of DVDs on release days that I eventually regretted. This purchase was one of them.

It came out when all horror DVDs that were straight to video had those semi-holographic covers (not sure what the right term is, but you know … normal face when looking straight on, skull when you tilt it), like Jack Frost. Doesn’t matter. The movie sucks, but still. Go America.

Tailer after the jump.

The 2010 Glastonbury festival looks like it was a parade of Hippie Bullshit, but at least this picture came out of it.

NYC: Last Rites

I’ve probably written about the Last Rites gallery half a dozen times on here, yet never actually went. Well, if you’re in NYC the weekend of July 10th, checking out the opening of a brand new group show called Lead Poisoning, along with a solo exhibit from artist Jason D’Aquino.

Very cool and dark stuff. Stuff you should like.
