If you live in LA and listen to metal, or if you’re not in LA (like us) but like blogs with kick-ass names and listen to metal, you’re in luck.  City of Devils is a blog dedicated to the metal scene in Los Angeles, and it’s got some fucking great articles. This may be old news, but I’ve just recently discovered it (since we’re about as geographically far from LA as possible), and it’s got hundreds of small bands profiled I’d never heard of.

Diiiig it.

New Danzig Special Edition is Evil, Stupid, A Must-Buy

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 by Vincent

I love Danzig.  I really don’t have any great justification for it, and I’m pretty sure listening to him makes me a dinosaur, but the man holds a special place in my heart and I appreciate that he hasn’t changed in over 30 years of music making. His new album, Deth Red Sabaoth (not to be confused with Red Dead Redemption), comes out on June 22nd, and of course there’s a kick-ass special edition available.  Look a dis:

Rainbow Destroyer

Rainbow Destroyer is a “zombie power pop” band. I can’t figure them out at all, what their angle is, or motivation, but it’s pretty fucking hilarious and is worth listening to.

From MySpaces:

Dance music is dead. Or at least is was….

In a barrage of sparkles and blood, Rainbow Destroyer has resurrected pop and metal to make Zombie Pop. Sass-divas Rainbeaux Bite and Brian Reignbow are comin’ at cha neck with slammin’ fresh beats and sweet harmonies.

My favorite part of their MySpaces page? The button labeled “Join our mailing list, slut”. Check ‘em out.
