Over at BrutalAsHell (great site name), there’s an interview with Ti West, director of The House of the Devil. Price and I saw one of Ti’s movies a few years ago, 2007′s Trigger Man, and it was fucking fantastic. After the recent decline in the quality of Eli Roth’s work (and his synchronized increase in douching), it’s nice to see there’s one promising young horror director out there.
So the folks over at Bloody Disgusting have decided to start a metal blog. Boner. One of the first entries is for the exclusive premier of 3 Inches of Blood’s new video, Battles and Brotherhood. Bloody Disgusting will actually be sponsoring 3 Inches of Blood’s upcoming tour (with one of my favorite bands, Saviours on support). Check out the video here. [Via MetalSucks]

Great short post on post Halloween depression. This particular bit sticks with me:
As I pack away my webs, skeletons and body parts the depression sets in but it is tempered by the rich stories that will be with me forever.
Also found an interesting post from 2004. These people seem to have some ways to deal with it.

So I’m feeling pretty out of touch for never having stumbled upon the Blood Factory before. Pretty ashamed to be honest.
The Blood Factory is a project put together by Danny Devito (yes, him) and his writer/friend John Albo. Fangoria has a good summary of the project here.
The site features a collection of splatter cuts for your viewing pleasure.
Their definition of “splatter cut”:
an outrageous or taboo short film featuring graphic violence, over the top gore, and excessive use of fake blood
Hey peoples. So there was a lot of stuff going on over Halloween, mainly involving us partying our faces off to a new degree of evilness, and we’re in pretty rough shape. Give us a few days to recover and as long as we don’t killourselves due to the depression onsetting from no more Halloween, then we’ll get back in the posting groove very shortly.
