35 Days Until Halloween

35, or the number of dollars I just paid for Type O Negative tickets a month from now in NYC.  We love Type O here, and their ghoulishness is very appropriate for us. Call me 16, but I still get excited about Type O, whether it’s a new tour, a new album, or simply a random rediscovery while I peruse through my catalog .

Seriously. Type O is one of our favorite bands, and we forever appreciate their effort to keep music evil.

Are you ready for Freddy? Most amazing Fat Boys rap ever.

I just lost my Friday lunch. While reading up the excellent posts over at I-Mockery Blabber, I came across RoG’s post about the Fat Boys music video for Are You Ready for Freddy.

I had no idea this existed, and feel more complete now that I have.

The premise is that the Fat Boys have an uncle “Fredrick”, whom they inherit a house from, but they can only claim it after they have spent a night alone in the house. You can imagine what happens next.

Apparently this was also a primer for a potential film project, which would have been amazing had it ever seen the light of day. More amazing than Chronicles of Riddick for sure.

There is nothing like amazing old school rap plus a horror icon like Freddy. This is perfect. Friday perfect.

36 Days Until Halloween

36 is the atomic number of Krypton, or more common to most of you, the home planet of the lamest superhero ever created, Superman. I really hate Superman. Here’s a good read on why he sucks.

And because I feel like an asshole on this Friday:

Great tote. For carrying things like dead babies around in.

USB Drive. I Need One.

I could go the obvious route and get a skull:

Or this one that says “I like computers, but also heroin:”

But it’s much more brutal to get a head-crushed teddy bear:

37, for the number of plays produced in the lifetime of William Shakespeare, who is arguably the creator of the most famous skull in history.

Shakespeare’s plays were generally filled with loads of murder, corruption, evil, pick the sin and it was there. This is exactly how I would’ve drawn the Macbeth skull in high school:

Suck: The Movie

Thursday, September 24th, 2009 by Price

I had absolutely no idea that this movie was coming out, and I wasn’t sure how I felt about it (especially since Moby is in it).

For one, vampires are the new pirate, and frankly they are getting played out pretty quickly, which saddens me since they were (still are, for now) my favorite monster.

However, it seems that the movie isn’t simply trying to attract viewers via the rock star cast, but is actually a decent horror film. Rob Stefaniuk wrote/directed/acted in the film, and some early reviews seem quite promising.

Yes! Zombie Mulan

These portraits of the Disney Princesses in various states of undeath are simply fantastic. Take a look at how much saucier Mulan has become as an agent of Satan:

Obviously, we were attracted to this display when we stumbled upon it. Jeremy Selenfriend runs Monster in My Closet, his studio in which he does FX, makeup, props for horror. The examples on hand were visually stunning and quite horrific. Hop on over monsterinmycloset.com, and check it all out.
